I knew what I wanted to remodel but I was having trouble getting it off and running. Our contractor told use to go pick out flooring and tile, but it was overwhelming. I did not have the time to go back and forth with options. Tanna took the stress out of the project. She listened to my ideas and then suggested things I never would have thought of. She put together palette boards and made the project so easy. She is responsive to questions. She lined up the flooring, paint, tile and cabinet installers and worked very well with our contractor. I have used TBD whenever I have needed help with general ideas for a project. We converted a large storage shed into a bonus room that is now used every day. Design Confidence! I am in the process of building a new house. With all of the decisions I had to make my head felt like it was going to explode. I had spent hours laboring over what hard surfaces to pick and decided I needed a designers perspective so that I could move forward with confidence. After all it is not everyday I drop $40,000 on my house, I wanted to make sure I had a cohesive design. I could only afford a couple of hours of her time to help me nail down my decisions. In 2 hours she reviewed, recommended and helped me finalize my choices for flooring, tile, paint, carpet, granite, etc. Tanna listened, was honest, made good use of our time, Well worth the money spent to gain peace of mind.

I recently engaged Tanna to redesign a floorplan and select finishes in a choppy and outdated 1950's northwest contemporary speculative rehab. The existing floorplan presented fundamental challenges that needed to be incorporated into the final design. In November of 2023 we bought a 20 plus year old house in Anthem Country Club that needed a whole house remodel...meaning new floors, knocking out walls, redoing the kitchen, etc. By way of background, my wife and I are not rookies when it comes to projects like this, we have done many whole house remodels gutting houses down to the studs in some cases as well as buying land and building from scratch.In our past projects we have been fortunate to find great contractors who worked with skilled designers and then finally interior designers to assist with furniture layout, etc. Tanna does all of these things. She is by far and away the most skilled , talented person we have ever worked with...she quickly "got us." Without Tanna, our house would have turned out OK....with Tanna our house is going to be amazing. These types of projects are expensive, making a mistake is very costly, Tanna will keep you from making mistakes. Whatever her fees are its worth every penny to make sure your investment turns out right.

I am highly recommending Tanna Edler, an Interior Designer in Yakima, Washington. I was looking to do a large Kitchen Remodel and needed help pulling all of my ideas together. I had a dark, drab and outdated space that I wanted to convert into a light and bright Farmhouse Style room that would look a little different from all of the other white Kitchens I had seen. I had some ideas of my own that I wanted to contribute and I also had a set budget and was not willing to exceed it! Tanna walked me through her business model step by step and asked me to trust in the process. Boy, I am sure glad I did. I not only came in under budget, I had a blast during the whole project. Tanna made each decision right there with me and together we were pumped up the entire time! Plus, I had the chance to incorporate some of my woodworking which Tanna based her design concept around! Her enthusiasm is contagious and her knowledge is power! I learned a ton through this experience and can't wait to hire Tanna again when I'm ready for the next update!

Our commercial lobby needed an update and we were referred to TANNA BY DESIGN from other businesses in the valley. Our customers are rough on our waiting room furniture so we needed new pieces that would last. Tanna’s reputation was spot on. She carefully listened, has impeccable attention to detail and provided us with exactly what we wanted. We now have a waiting area that is extremely durable and looks great too. We now refer her name to every one that compliments us on our new space.

I first saw Tanna's work on a tour of homes and was impressed. When I needed help redoing my family room and dining room I knew exactly who's help I wanted. We worked together picking wall color, furniture fabrics and window coverings. She made suggestions on different color combinations that I would never have tried and the results are fabulous. NO CHALLENGE TOO TOUGH! Kappa Delta Sorority on the University of Washington campus was in need of a formal living room make-over. The massive space offered multiple design challenges ..., but we made a three-fold request of Tanna: make a 100-year old colonial structure appeal to, and fit, the demands of the active collegiate women’s lifestyle without losing its sense of tradition, and in the process, make it stand out from 18 other campus sororities! And it all had to be accomplished in a very tight turnaround.I personally couldn’t get my head around it, but Tanna saw the possibilities immediately and her enthusiasm was infectious. Most appreciated in the whole process was that she LISTENED, to the Corporation Board’s need for a long-term, timeless solution ... From the get-go, Tanna took charge. She communicated a complete design and plan and she managed the ENTIRE process. She literally made it effortless ...Tanna, a consummate problem-solver and visionary.I couldn’t recommend TANNA BY DESIGN more highly!

Tanna was wonderful to work with and created a very glamorous space for my medical office.  She created such an inspiring work space and everything was well thought out to the smallest detail.  She brought in beautiful textile ideas and coordinated the ordering process. She provided the inspiration and allowed me to use the template to shop around within my budget.  She was readily available to come to the work site and help make design decisions throughout the process.  I have received so many compliments on my office space since we opened and it would not be what it is without the help from Tanna.  I will definitely be using her again for future projects!

I loved working with Tanna for my fireplace update. She understood my style and was able to find exactly what I wanted (which was sparkly and beautiful!). Working With What You Have! My wife and I recently moved into a new home and hired Tanna to help us put the finishing touches on items and a layout that would bring it all together. Now, I'm an opinionated husband when it comes to furniture, textures, and layout. So, what I anticipated was Tanna suggesting we spend a few dollars on items that would finish off each room. What I didn't anticipate was moving existing furniture into new positions that might make the flow of the room better. I admit, I was not initially excited about the changes she was proposing, but as I was pushed out of my comfort zone on where furniture should be, I soon discovered why Tanna is so good at what she does. Tanna had a better eye for where things should be. For us, it wasn't as much about finding new items as it was taking the items we had and placing them in better positions. Thank you Tanna

Tanna has been a true joy to work with. She's creative, energetic and her love of design is inspiring. Tanna has been so flexible in working within our budget. I was very overwhelmed by moving and things just didn't feel like home. She's so fun to work with, it's like having a girlfriend over for coffee, only when she leaves my new house actually feels like my home. I'm so grateful to her.

A truly great experience from beginning to end.. Tanna understood my vision and was able to re do my entire living room in a week.. I wanted to have my 25th wedding anniversary party and she transformed our room beyond our expectations... she has also helped me plan schematics for rooms for another house in another state.. she is truly dead on with her ideas.. working with her is stress free and truly a joy.

Tanna helped us with a new kitchen remodel and we absolutely love it and get compliments on it all the time. It is a new kitchen in a fifty year old summer cabin and it is modern, efficient and beautiful yet in keeping with the charm of the original structure.   When we needed help on reconstructing our basement, Tana was who I called immediately.  This was a very small job and Tana was gracious and jumped in to help me. She is a very talented designer, quick with excellent ideas and beautiful taste. She is also a lot of fun to work with.  I give her a 5 out of 5. She is tops.
