Interior Design Elements We’ve Used Again and Again
Adding warmth to a white living room can be achieved through various design ideas and decor choices. You might say these are our go-to’s - upholstery, art, greenery, metal, and reflection in our Living Spaces, our five favorite interior design elements that we use over and over again. These are indeed timeless interior design trends that can add depth, character, and aesthetic appeal to any space.
Let's delve a bit deeper into each of them:
Upholstery plays a crucial role in defining the comfort, style, and ambiance of a room. Whether it's a plush sofa or, cozy armchairs the choice of upholstery fabric, color, and texture can greatly influence the overall look and feel of the space. Timeless performance materials like leather, velvet, linen, and wool can add both luxury and durability to furniture pieces, ensuring they remain stylish for years to come.
Artwork serves as a focal point and a means of self-expression within interior design. Whether it's a striking painting, or a gallery wall displaying a collection of prints and photographs, art has the power to infuse personality, emotion, and visual interest into a room. Investing in timeless pieces or creating a curated mix of art forms can elevate the aesthetic appeal of any space and stand the test of time.
Incorporating plants and greenery into interior design brings life, freshness, and a sense of tranquility to indoor spaces. From large potted plants to delicate succulents, greenery adds natural beauty and a touch of serenity to any room. Timeless indoor plants like fiddle leaf figs, or olive trees not only enhance air quality but also contribute to a timeless, biophilic design that connects inhabitants with nature. And, we love incorporating faux versions of each also.
Metal accents and finishes add sophistication, contrast, and visual interest to interior design. Whether it's sleek stainless steel, warm brass, or industrial-inspired iron, metal elements can be incorporated into furniture, lighting fixtures, hardware, and decorative accessories. Timeless metal finishes and accents can effortlessly complement a variety of design styles, from contemporary to traditional, while also adding a touch of elegance and glamour to the space
Mirrors, glass surfaces, and reflective materials play a key role in enhancing light, creating the illusion of space, and adding depth to interior design. With this statement mirror we’ve added above the fireplace, the reflections visually expanded and brightened the room. Reflective surfaces and accents help to create a sense of openness and airiness, making them a versatile and enduring design element.
